After the walls to the furnace room and laundry room have been taken down.
The old furnace and hotwater tank are still intalled but you can see the new furnace sitting where the kitchenette used to be to the left in this picture. You can also see the stairs now from the rec room and the closet at the bottom of the stairs is gone and the staircase is much more open. The 2 basement bedrooms

This shot is taken standing in the rec room and looking toward the old laundry room and stairs going to the main floor. The 2 bedrooms and bathroom are to the left in this picture. You can only see the door to one bedroom and the closet at the bottom of the stairs. the area directly behind the wall in front of the telepost is the old furnace room with laundry room beside it which you can see straight ahead.

The family room with the inset woodburning stove.

This little kitchenette was at the bottom of the stairs. It is now gone and this area is the new furnace and hotwater closet.

Stair case going into the basement. This is taken from the basement looking up to the back landing

Front entrance. This used to be completely closed off from the rest of the house making it very small and dark.

Living room with wood burning fireplace.

Another shot of the area looking toward the back entrance, bathroom and 1st bedroom before the walls forming the door going into the basement and the walls forming that 1st bedroom come completely down. This bedroom will eventually be an office open to the rest of the main area.

Standing in the kitchen area looking into the dining, living room area.

Standing in kitchen looking toward bedroom areas

Standing at the back entrance and looking toward the bedroom and bathroom area. Pretty much back to studs here.

Looking from the living room to the back entrance.

kitchen area

Walls coming down between the kitchen, dining and living rooms. you can see where the walls were by looking at the ceiling. The wall where the chimney pipe is, was the front coat closet and a broom closet. There was a wall between where the kitchem was (insulated area)and the dining room (panelled area)

The House. These are the only pics I have on the computor of the project just beginning. I wish I had some of the inside pictures before we started, but unfortunately I can't get my scanner to work.

This is an awesome music video. Such a true message! " We need God in America again" Watch from the link below.

I read this scripture on two different blogs just today and thought "God wants me to know this and He wants you to know it too!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I read this, this morning and thought it was cute, so I am sharing it with you to give you a smile.

An elderly woman died last month. Having never married, she requested no male pallbearers. In her handwritten instructions for her memorial service, she wrote, "They wouldn't take me out while I was alive, I don't want them to take me out when I'm dead."

Girl Puppy!!! Miracle puppy!!!!
This little girl fell from my arms on Thursday evening and was for sure dying. She did not make a sound but was struggling to breathe. Ken thought for sure she was gone and put her outside because I was so very upset. I was crying and praying my heart out for God to touch her and I heard a little wimper. It came from her!! Ken went outside to look at her and said she was alive. We took her to the vet. They would not tell me that she could make it. They just said all they could do was try. She had severe lung contusions and they wer filled with fluid. They put her on oxegen and I continued to pray. She had to stay in the hospital until Saturday. At ladies prayer I asked for prayer for her. A little later that day the vet told me she was doing better but definitely not out of the woods and gave her a 50/50m chance. By Saturday morning, she was doing 100% better and they told me she would most likely make it and by that evening she was home, running around playing like nothing had ever happened. All of the assistants and the vet himself said she was a miracle! I agreed with them and told them about praying for her. One of the nurses told me he had seen one survive that condition before, but it had taken a long time. I am thanking God today for the litlle pup running around my house chewing on my shoes!!
You may think it is weird, praying for a dog, but as Sis. King said, God cares how we feel and I felt terrible about dropping her. It was a testimony to the power of God. If he could heal up a little puppy so quickly, how much more is he willing to heal us of our illnesses and hurts? It was a faith builder for me. Thank you Jesus for touching my little puppy!!

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

You know you have a great friend when your relationship causes you to want to be a better man.
It is what happens with great friends. They push you to be better than you are. They challenge you to be strong and courageous. They make you see that life is more than just about you and your situation. They cause you to look through the mirror and help you focus on the most important things in life. They love. They give.

Above is an excerpt from a blog I read this morning. I posted it here because it was worth repeating and because I want to be that kind of friend. It made me think and I thought it might make you think too. A friend is not someone who neccasarily agrees with you all the time and definitely doesn't help you wallow in self pity, but one who will help lift you out of the holes life can put you in and help you see things from a different perspective.

Dad makes it onto CBC national news!! On national television no less! LOL. (For those of you who don't know my husband, he is the one holding up the #230.) He knew they were filming and that they kept zooming in on him, but he had no idea they were the CBC news crew or that he would get his mug on TV!. Some one he does business with told him they saw him on TV, so we looked it up online and thought it was cute.

New Listing!! MLs# c3308228 $524,900

This is just not right!
I received this today and feel it is one of the few worth getting involved in and passing on. One click of the mouse once you are on the website is all it takes to vote against Dr. Henry Morgantaler being given the "Order of Canada". Evil does flourish when good men and women say nothing. If this isn't a blatant perversion, I don't know what is. Thanks.

Hi All
When I saw this I almost got physically sick! The thought of the abortion king of Canada receiving our countries highest honour is just Sick and wrong. Pro-choicers are advocating that Dr. Henry Morgantaler be given the "Order of Canada" Globe and Mail is running a poll ... please get in and vote ... I don't know if the powers that be listen to polls, but it is at least making a statment and not being part of the silent majority! Your chance to do something for "Pro-Life" - let's include a few prayers. Please circulate this as widely as possible. Thanks. Please vote in Globe and Mail's online poll at: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/v5/content/poll/static/nationalPoll.html Al Brideau (Tel : (506) 459-4693 ,email: albrideau@rogers.com

Valentines day at my house!
I started out the day by giving all the kids and Ken a Valentines Card, then I started to make a nice supper. While I was in the middle of that, my sweet hubby showed up with what you see below. He surprised me with the gift. He is not a shopper and I was expecting flowers. He didn't show me the candy right away, but said to me " Aren't you glad I didn't buy you something fattening?" to which I replied a resounding "yes!" Then he brings it out and tells me that he couldn't resist!! Thanks Ken, for making me feel special today!

I read this as someones profile description and I thought it was so good. It could be my profile description. I did tweak it a bit to fit me. Thanks to blogger "you just gotta laugh"
I'm just one. Just one little girl who needs her Heavenly Father to carry her from day to day. Just one wife who thinks of herself too often, fails miserably regularly, but is still the apple of her man's eye (after 28 years). One mom who loves her kids, thinks their laughter is contagious and really has no idea, outside of desperate prayer, how to raise them up to be godly world changers.I'm just one blogger who hopes to encourage maybe just one person to remember that when life throws you a curve ball- sometimes you just gotta laugh... or you'll cry!

The last lecture of Randy Pausch

http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=ithct48cqw

In life we all know that our attitude is everything. A positive view of life comes easier to some people than for others. Sometimes it's lifes experiences that make it easier or harder or it could be just the personality of a person that makes life easier to take or not. Whatever the case, whether it comes natural to you to be positive or you have to make a concious decision to fight off the negative emotions, the task must be done to have the quality of life that is desired. You will automatically attract more friends and life will be more positive just by making that decision, either conciously or not. When you let your negative emotions dictate your actions, then you will push away the very thing that you are longing for! Think with the head and not the emotion! Am I there? No, but I am working on it and with God's help, I will be what He wants me to be. And if that can be accomplished, then you can be sure life will be filled with positvbe experiences. I read somewhere that if you can change your mind, you can change your feelings! Powerful!!

The video clip above was an incredible inspiration to me and I think it will be to you as well.

I really liked the part about if some one quits giving you critism, then they have ceased to hope for you. When someone is trying to make you better, take it as that and be thankful! I also liked the part about people versus things, and the one about the apologies. My apologies are going to be diferent from now on!! This speech was just plain good stuff!!

If you search Randy Pausch on the internet, you will find the full speech and it is well worth listening to.

Do you have an elephant in the room? Face it and make something positive out of it!!

Real Estate Wholesaling?
I have had some people asking me about this. I have been doing some research and have ordered some material about the subject. Does anyone have any input that you would like to share? I will let you know if I think it is worthwhile and ethical once I know more about it.

As of January 28, 2008, I have had 2008 views to my blogsite!

We are finally in the deep freeze of winter! It is -33C and with the wind chill factor it is like -48C. that is -27.4F and -54.4F!! We are not complaining though, because it is already close to the end of January and spring will be here in just a few months! Times like this make you appreciate warm homes, fireplaces and hot chocolate!! In spite of the cold you could see us all making our way to church yesterday with our high heeled shoes and litle jackets! We are a rugged bunch!

I thought this e-mail was cute:

God is like television commercials...
A fifth grade teacher in a Christian school asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in some way to communicate ideas about God.
Here are some of the results: scroll down.

God is like BAYER ASPIRIN He works miracles.
God is like a FORD He's got a better idea.
God is like COKE He's the real thing.
God is like HALLMARK CARDS He cares enough to send His very best.
God is like TIDE He gets the stains out that others leave behind.
God is like GENERAL ELECTRIC He brings good things to life.
God is like SEARS He has everything.
God is like ALKA-SELTZER Try Him, you'll like Him.
God is like SCOTCH TAPE You can't see Him, but you know He's there.
God is like DELTA He's ready when you are.
God is like ALLSTATE You're in good hands with Him.
God is like VO-5 HAIR SPRAY He holds through all kinds of weather.
God is like DIAL SOAP Aren't you glad you have Him? Don't you wish everybody did?
God is like the U.S. POST OFFICE Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor ice will keep Him from His appointed destination.
God is like CHEVROLET the heart beat of America.
God is like MAXWELL HOUSE Good to the very last drop.
God is like BOUNTY He is the quicker picker upper, can handle the tough jobs, and He won't fall apart on you.

BLESSINGS FROM MY HOUSE TO YOURS

This was the view from my window this morning! It was so beautiful!

And I Thought this was a good laugh for all of us who are trying to loose weight right now!

Choices- how they affect our lives for the positive or the negative depending on the choices, made. Whether they be big choices or just our small everyday choices. They will be put together to make a whole. Make them wisely. Think beyond self when making choices. The dearest people to our hearts will be affected by the choices we make

Honesty and Integrity- How important it is. How very much a part of character it is and how it forms and shapes who we become. Live impeccably. More than just ourselves are affected by our character.

Attidude - Our response to the things that happen to us. How vital that is. Wish it would always come easy

Motivation and focus(perspective)- Life will be so much easier and our attitude will be more positive if our motivation and focus is on doing what we do to praise God and not on ourself or for our self glorification. Ask the question " Why do I want to do this or that?" Is it to glorify God or myself? If we can get the motivation right for whatever it is we want to accomplish, then it won't matter so much if things don't go as planned, which brings me to my next thought.

Trust- Trusting God is so important. When things don't work out the way we expected them to, that is when trusting God becomes a reality. This is when trust is put to the test.

Relationships- How important to our well being they are and how easy it is to mess them up and so hard to repair them. Something that needs to be cared for with much prayer and unselfishness. They are the essence of life and effect the quality of our lives. If we could only be mature and unselfish earlier.

Forgiveness- Another essential to real life and living. Impossible to forgive the really deep wounds of the spirit without the help of God's spirit. But His spirit is readily availbale and He will do the surgery when he knows we can handle it and He is the great physician who can heal. Forgiveness is the only way to live with freedom.

God's love -How big and incomprehensible. He will look beyond our faults and failures if we repent and go for change. He will continue to work with us to perfect us. He will help us dance and hold us when we hurt. Awesome love.

Heaven- What a beautiful place that will be. No burdens, No pain, Joy unspeakable, singing praises, being with those we love who have already gone ahead of us, I can't miss out on that!

These are just a few of the things going through my mind of late.

Century 21 The Professionals office awards!
I just got a call from my broker congratulating me on acheiving #9 for dollar volume sold and #7 for units sold in the second half of 2007. I came in at #18 for dollar volume and #8 for units sold for the year 2007. I guess I am bragging just a little, but I would like to say thanks once again to everyone who made this possible for me. I appreciate your confidence.

BREAKTHROUGH

I JUST READ SIS. ELM'S BLOG AND SHE HAD POSTED ABOUT NEEDING A BREAKTHORUGH IN THE SPIRIT THIS YEAR. I JUST WANTED TO POST ABOUT THAT AS WELL BECAUSE IT TOUCHED ME DEEP. I KNOW THAT I PERSONALLY HAVE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE BROKEN AND I'M SURE THAT MANY OTHERS, INSIDE THE CHURCH AND OUT, HAVE STRONG HOLDS THAT NEED TO BE BROKEN.

SOME THINGS CAN ONLY BE DONE THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND I HOPE TO SEE A MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD THAT SEES PEOPLE SET FREE FROM THE THINGS THAT BIND AND THAT GREAT JOY IS EXPERIENCED AMONG US THIS YEAR AS WE SEE LIVES CHANGED BY GOD'S BEAUTIFUL HOLY GHOST!!

FRIENDS ARE LIKE ANGELS, WHO HELP US SOAR WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO FLY.

Thank you to all of my friends old and new. Thank you for caring and sharing and for just being there. I don't know what I would do without you. You keep me balanced and help to keep my perspective straight. You all help to complete my life. Thanks for everything.
I hope I can be a good friend to all of you! That I can be a real Christian and that people go away feeling good after having spent time in my company.
