After the walls to the furnace room and laundry room have been taken down.
The old furnace and hotwater tank are still intalled but you can see the new furnace sitting where the kitchenette used to be to the left in this picture. You can also see the stairs now from the rec room and the closet at the bottom of the stairs is gone and the staircase is much more open. The 2 basement bedrooms

I read this scripture on two different blogs just today and thought "God wants me to know this and He wants you to know it too!
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

An elderly woman died last month. Having never married, she requested no male pallbearers. In her handwritten instructions for her memorial service, she wrote, "They wouldn't take me out while I was alive, I don't want them to take me out when I'm dead."

Girl Puppy!!! Miracle puppy!!!!
This little girl fell from my arms on Thursday evening and was for sure dying. She did not make a sound but was struggling to breathe. Ken thought for sure she was gone and put her outside because I was so very upset. I was crying and praying my heart out for God to touch her and I heard a little wimper. It came from her!! Ken went outside to look at her and said she was alive. We took her to the vet. They would not tell me that she could make it. They just said all they could do was try. She had severe lung contusions and they wer filled with fluid. They put her on oxegen and I continued to pray. She had to stay in the hospital until Saturday. At ladies prayer I asked for prayer for her. A little later that day the vet told me she was doing better but definitely not out of the woods and gave her a 50/50m chance. By Saturday morning, she was doing 100% better and they told me she would most likely make it and by that evening she was home, running around playing like nothing had ever happened. All of the assistants and the vet himself said she was a miracle! I agreed with them and told them about praying for her. One of the nurses told me he had seen one survive that condition before, but it had taken a long time. I am thanking God today for the litlle pup running around my house chewing on my shoes!!
You may think it is weird, praying for a dog, but as Sis. King said, God cares how we feel and I felt terrible about dropping her. It was a testimony to the power of God. If he could heal up a little puppy so quickly, how much more is he willing to heal us of our illnesses and hurts? It was a faith builder for me. Thank you Jesus for touching my little puppy!!

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

You know you have a great friend when your relationship causes you to want to be a better man.
It is what happens with great friends. They push you to be better than you are. They challenge you to be strong and courageous. They make you see that life is more than just about you and your situation. They cause you to look through the mirror and help you focus on the most important things in life. They love. They give.
Above is an excerpt from a blog I read this morning. I posted it here because it was worth repeating and because I want to be that kind of friend. It made me think and I thought it might make you think too. A friend is not someone who neccasarily agrees with you all the time and definitely doesn't help you wallow in self pity, but one who will help lift you out of the holes life can put you in and help you see things from a different perspective.

Dad makes it onto CBC national news!! On national television no less! LOL. (For those of you who don't know my husband, he is the one holding up the #230.) He knew they were filming and that they kept zooming in on him, but he had no idea they were the CBC news crew or that he would get his mug on TV!. Some one he does business with told him they saw him on TV, so we looked it up online and thought it was cute.

I received this today and feel it is one of the few worth getting involved in and passing on. One click of the mouse once you are on the website is all it takes to vote against Dr. Henry Morgantaler being given the "Order of Canada". Evil does flourish when good men and women say nothing. If this isn't a blatant perversion, I don't know what is. Thanks.
Hi All
When I saw this I almost got physically sick! The thought of the abortion king of Canada receiving our countries highest honour is just Sick and wrong. Pro-choicers are advocating that Dr. Henry Morgantaler be given the "Order of Canada" Globe and Mail is running a poll ... please get in and vote ... I don't know if the powers that be listen to polls, but it is at least making a statment and not being part of the silent majority! Your chance to do something for "Pro-Life" - let's include a few prayers. Please circulate this as widely as possible. Thanks. Please vote in Globe and Mail's online poll at: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/v5/content/poll/static/nationalPoll.html Al Brideau (Tel : (506) 459-4693 ,email: albrideau@rogers.com

In life we all know that our attitude is everything. A positive view of life comes easier to some people than for others. Sometimes it's lifes experiences that make it easier or harder or it could be just the personality of a person that makes life easier to take or not. Whatever the case, whether it comes natural to you to be positive or you have to make a concious decision to fight off the negative emotions, the task must be done to have the quality of life that is desired. You will automatically attract more friends and life will be more positive just by making that decision, either conciously or not. When you let your negative emotions dictate your actions, then you will push away the very thing that you are longing for! Think with the head and not the emotion! Am I there? No, but I am working on it and with God's help, I will be what He wants me to be. And if that can be accomplished, then you can be sure life will be filled with positvbe experiences. I read somewhere that if you can change your mind, you can change your feelings! Powerful!!
The video clip above was an incredible inspiration to me and I think it will be to you as well.
I really liked the part about if some one quits giving you critism, then they have ceased to hope for you. When someone is trying to make you better, take it as that and be thankful! I also liked the part about people versus things, and the one about the apologies. My apologies are going to be diferent from now on!! This speech was just plain good stuff!!
If you search Randy Pausch on the internet, you will find the full speech and it is well worth listening to.
Do you have an elephant in the room? Face it and make something positive out of it!!

This picture was done with one pen stroke. It starts on tip of the nose and ends on the bottom. Check out the copyright date. The human brain seems to have no limits for some people.
