Psalms 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.
I just want to give thanks today for God's goodness to me.
For His Spirit and His Word
For every promise He has given and every word spoken directly to me through many avenues
For the health He has given to my family
For a husband who has loved and provided for me and my children
For my children that have made Him thier God
For dealing and working on the one who hasn't
For the sunshine, the rain, the beautiful world around us
For the Flowers, The singing birds, and the many other pleasant things he has created for our pleasure
For love and friendships
For every kind word spoken to me.
For all of the material blessings, A nice home, clothes etc.
The list could go on and on.
It is so often easier in our carnality to focus on the things that are wrong in our lives or even in our church or place of business. We can become so focused on "ourselves" and the problems we are facing that we can't even see the good things provided to us. Let's take some time today to count the many blessings around us. Let's also try to practice looking outward, thinking about how we can be a blessing instead of only thinking about I, My, Myself, My kids, My marriage , Me , me , me! Let's also practice leaving the "if only's" behind us. If only she, If only that, If only this, If only I!
You get the picture?
Believe me, I am preaching to myself as well. It takes an effort to change perspective, but it is so much more rewarding if we can.
Be Thankful Today!!

I just read this on the Rock group Blog and thought it was worth repeating for those who may not have read it.
MAJOR RECALL
Regardless of make or year, all units known as "human beings" are beingrecalled by the Manufacturer. This is due to a malfunction in theoriginal prototype units code named "Adam" and "Eve" resulting in thereproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect istechnically termed, "Serious Internal Non-morality," but more commonlyknown as "SIN."
Some of the symptoms of the SIN defect:
[a] Loss of direction
[b] Lack of peace and joy
[c] Depression
[d] Foul vocal emissions
[e] Selfishness
[f] Ingratitude
[g] Fearfulness
[h] Rebellion
[i] Jealousy
The Manufacturer is providing factory authorized repair service free of charge to correct the SIN defect. The Repair Technician, Jesus Christ, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. To repeat, there is NO fee required. The number to call for repair in all areas is:
P-R-A-Y-E-R.
Please see the operating manual, HOLY BIBLE, for further details on the use of these fixes. As an added upgrade, the Manufacturer has made available to all repaired units a facility enabling direct monitoring and assistance from the resident Maintenance Technician, the Holy Ghost. Repaired units need only make Him welcome and He will take up residence on the premises. WARNING: Continuing to operate a human being unit without corrections voids the Manufacturer's warranty, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list, and will ultimately result in the human unit being incinerated.Thank you for your immediate attention.

An excerpt taken from the "focus on freedom" bible study and Hebrews 12:1-4
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
" In these verses I found six life-changing truths which teach us that in the race of life":
.You are not running alone
.how you run will affect others
.You can't run with weights on
.you must run with endurance
.Every obstacle can be overcome
.You must stay focused to win
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For all of you that are weary with the race, Refocus. Take your attention off the distractions (whatever they might be) and
get back on track.
I hope the six things above will encourage you and remind you that you are in the race of your life and you can win!

Let's not forget to take the time to thank God for his many blessings and to take advantage of every moment we have. It is so easy to get caught up in the stresses of everyday life and forget to take time to remember our blessings and see our opportunities.
Here is a prayer that I found on another blog that has stuck with me ever since I read it. I have been waking up each morning since reading it, thanking God for another day to live, to meet new people, to hear my children laugh and see them enjoying their life, to hear my husband say I love you, etc. It is so easy to take these things for granted and get caught up in the things that are "wrong "so here is a gentle reminder to be aware of the pleasant things that surround you and savour the moments you have!
Here is the Prayer.

At ladies prayer this morning, Sis. King spoke about life and living, not just existing. About making a difference and making time for the really important things in life such as God, family, friends, and other people we come in contact with. At mid life we start to take stock and think, what have I done? Where am I going? We start to feel the need to do something with our life, to find the meaning and significance of our existence. We start asking ourselves questions that we never really thought about before. When we get to that point, that is where God can start to talk to us and lead us into ministries based on our lifes experiences that can make a profound difference in other peoples lives. Bro. Andrew just recently preached a message about making this a year of significance rather than a year of success.
This year (and for always), I want my life to be a positive influence on all I come in contact with. I want my life to speak of significance. Some times we look at the youth and think "they have their whole life in front of them, they can really go places " I love the young people, they are so vital, so full of life and fun to be with. I try to be around them as much as they will allow me to be, but if we are not careful, we get to thinking our season is over and that we've already established our path (our rut)for life. This is far from the truth. We are just beginning . Sis. Nona Freeman said she did her best work after the age of 60! We still have a lot of living to do and a lot of lifes experiences to share. We have a lot to give!! Come on, all of you over 40'er's, lets make a diffence this year. Let's not let our struggles, victories and things learned along the way be hidden in obscurity! Let use them to bless others!! Let's step out and live, learn and make a difference!!

I found this big eraser at the dollar store and bought it for Ken as a joke, but I got to thinking about big mistakes. Mistakes in life, mistakes in relationships, hearts blackened with sin and messed up with bad choices ( there is that word "choice" again! I have heard it many times over the last few weeks from several sources, but that is for another time) God provided us with a remedy, an "eraser" called the blood of Jesus Christ. It did not come cheap, but cost him his life! Satan would like to destroy us, using the shame caused by our mistakes, but Jesus made the sacrifice so that we could be free. Oh what amazing love! Oh what amazing grace!

Here we are starting a new year. What surprises and challenges does it hold for us? 2006 was my best year yet in Real Estate. I achieved the Masters ruby award last year for Century 21 Canada. The previous 2 years I was able to achieve the masters silver. I give all the glory to God for this success. I would also like to thank all of the clients that made this possible for me. Your loyalty, kind words, business and referrals are greatly appreciated! I do not take it lightly and could not have done it without you.
I hope this year is full of wonderful things for all of us. That it is a year we grow in every aspect of our lives! ( except bodily of course!! We perfer to shrink a little in that area!))
