As I was driving thru traffic yesterday, I began to think about the different types of soil that are described in scripture as the condition of the human heart. The wayside, the stoney ground, the thorns and the good ground. The one that stood out to me the most was the thorns, which are the cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches. The thorns are what chokes the word and makes me unfruitful. I must continually plough the thorns under , breaking up the hard, fallow ground so that the Word of God can take root in my heart and grow, producing bountifully the beautful fruits of the Spirit.
Let's beware of the thorns and prepare our soil to be able to germinate the seed of the Word of God. Every answer and everything we need is in that Word.
The word of God is quick and powerful... Man shall not LIVE by bread alone , but by EVERY word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Get into the Word!!!!

Let's remmember to clear the thorns while the ground is soft aand pliable rather than waiting until it is hard and unmanageable!

That is definitley the best way, but sometimes life hardens us before we know what is happening. We still have to dig it up!
