I got this little saying from Sis. Hurst's blog and thought it was worth considering. Anyone needing a boost today should read her newest posting. It is very uplifting and something I'm sure all of us can relate to.
A Little Tidbit
We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.

Just taking the time to give a word , a smile, or a touch to someone can make such a difference. The secret is, you don't know who needs it, so give freely to everyone around you! Just become that kind of person, regardless of your own feelings. We all know that we don't live our life or make our decisions based on how we feel. If we did, we would make a mess! We govern our life and decisions on doing the right thing. So reach out and give as much as you can with what you've got!
Thaks to everyone who has ever given, on any level, to me. You have enhanced my life!

I definately agree with that! There has been a number of times when I come to church and feel so drab, yet a sinner goes to the altar and I don't neccessarily feel like going down to pray with them, but the nudge is there and I do and God takes all of my drab and fills it with peace, joy, and blessings. Also when hostesing at my house, I didn't realize how much my kind jeastures mean to the people that come over. It just makes you feel so good when you've made someone's day by doing something for them, by giving them your time, ability, humor, or whatever it may be. When you give of yourself to others... you feel soo fullfilled!

For I am Blessed to be a Blessing! If there is anything I can do whether its offering a smile, a kind word, or a simple card to make them feel special it is worth the extra bit of effort to make someone else's day light up. It makes my world a better place to live in when there is a sparkle in someones eyes. Thank you Tina for the post!

I so very much want to be a giver in word and deed. But I must confess when some lady pats my back or gives me a little hug; I then realize how much I need affection and I certainly do appreciate anything I can get. Kind words have so much power, God let me be a person thats tongue only says kind words.
Wow, does this old boot ever need some serious work.
