John,
You have grown into a man that I am very proud to call my son. you have grown and matured so wonderfully!
I love you so much. You don't know how special all of your hugs have meant to me over the years. All of the times when your sense of humor has lightened things up. All of the thougtful things you say and do mean so much to all of us. God sure did meet a need when He blessed this family with you.
You've always had the ability to make me smile. You have such a tender heart and are always so sensitive and caring.
The love for the family is formost with you. You are definitely a family man. Every one of us can count on you . We know that you will be there for us, no matter what!
You are a very trustworthy and loyal person. Make sure that your loyalties are always well placed. People will let you down and the heart can be easily bruised with a spirit like yours, but never allow it to harden you. Forgive and move on. Your lovingness (if that's a word is your trademark. Don't ever allow offenses to crowd that out. Always allow your sense of fairplay to work for you and not against you.
You have been such a blessing to Dad and you will never know how much that means to him. He needs you more than you even realize. You are an incredibly special person to all of us. I don't know what I'll do when you move out. You will take a part of the sunshine with you for sure. Keep yourself commited to God. Get as close to Him as you can. Get to know him. Follow his word and don't let people or situations interfere, but let every thing that happens, big or small, bring you to a place of knowing God, His word, and His ways, more clearly.
You are my sunshine and I love you dearly!!
Mom

That's a very well said post about John. I'm proud of John for sticking with it when all of his friends fell away from God. I've seen his loving and caring nature.. he's very sweet and you can tell by his hands that he's a very hard worker. You're doing a good job John.. keep loving God and get closer to Him.

Some could speculate that these are the words and heart of a mother bias about her son. The thing is the little I know John,I would agree totally he is everything that was said. Something he shines in is his love for his family. How he treats his mother is so beautiful in this day and age we live in. John has such a generous heart. Words could not express how much of a friend he has been to me. I will not forget the kindness he has shown to myself and my children. May God bless John overly and abundantly in his life.

Who knows him better than his mother? I appreciate your kind words. I love that kid as I do all of my kids.

It's said that younger brothers sometimes have to pay for the mistakes of older brothers, and that's probably true. For this, I say thank you.

It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on, someone to count on... someone to tell on! ~Author Unknown

It's true that many times our family has been lifted, encouraged, united, and healed through John's influence. His love for his family runs more deeply than anyone can imagine; it even surprises me. There is no more loyal friend or worthy brother than John, and I concur with everything Mom said.

Marc Brown said, "Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero." . . .

. . . Like, being the kind of brother John is.

I love you, bro!

I had the opportunity to meet John a little over a year ago, and over this year I have grown to know these words to be true. Though our ecounters have been few, he has been a true gentleman and has displayed his dedication for his family in numerous ways. He makes each experience a time of fun that is never hard remember. You can see the genuine upbring he has recieved in both his words and actions. In the same aspect that John is the son, and brother you can be proud of, he also is the kind of person anyone would gladly call their friend.

Ditto.

John – (class of 2000), we are still here! Thank God!

Reading this made me remember all of our times in high school…you and Marcus singing on my 18th birthday…all the crazy fundraisers we had to do…exams and finals…the grad.
I’m proud of you.
